Læringsmål: | After the course the student should be able to:
• Describe relevant concepts within the themes of the course
• Account for the practical applications of the covered constructs
• Compare selected techniques and constructions
• Apply relevant methods and techniques in the chosen project
• Argue for the overall design-decisions in the project
• Relate project and theory |
Fagligt indhold: | This course is currently being developed - changes may oocur.
The subject of the course is 3D Game Art for demo projects / Indie games.
The content of the course is structured in a number of themes:
• Modelling Concepts
• Textures and Composing Materials
• Mapping
• Animation
• Light Baking
• Interaction |
Læringsaktiviteter: | 14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser Lectures and exercises will be mixed and of varying length and will vary from session to session.
The first sessions will concentrate on learning relevant skills.
The last sessions will concentrate on refining learned skills, while concurrently working on the exam project.
Supervision time will be allotted during the last sessions.
Students are expected to attend lectures and exercises.

Course restriction!
Please note that there is a course restriction between this course and the DDK course Introductory 3D.
That means that you cannot take this course, if you have already taken Introductory 3D. |
Obligatoriske aktivititer: | During this course students will be required to hand in mandatory assignments (e.g. attendance, papers, exercises, presentations, productions), that need to be completed/approved before being eligible to register for the examination and e.g. being allowed to submit written work for examination. Failure to hand in these mandatory assignments on time will mean that the registration for examination is
annulled.
These mandatory assignments are: (Deadlines have been posted on the course blog)
* Design references for final project handed in to the teacher.
* Initial iteration of final project handed in to the teacher.
Both assignments will be assessed on an approved/not approved basis but will not form a part of the final grade. |
Eksamensform og -beskrivelse: | X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 7-trins-skala, Ekstern censur At the end of semester, students must submit for the examination:
* The final project
* A report on reflections on the process and on the theory
The final project and report must be handed in to the Examination Office by the relevant date and time, and both will contribute towards the final grade.
