Formelle forudsætninger: | Interaction Design (DDK) or Introduction to Interaction Design (DMD) |
Læringsmål: | Students should be able to:
• Identify a number of interaction styles and enumerate their attributes
• Select appropriate interaction styles and techniques for an interaction problem
• Create interactive prototypes with screen, tangible and ubiquitous computing interaction technologies
• Critique and analyse interactive designs |
Fagligt indhold: | Through a designerly practice and in the Bauhaus tradition, we will engage with the materials of interaction design - code and hardware - in order to bring to life interactive prototypes and sketches. Through exploration and mastery of materials and tools, we will explore notions of interaction qualities, styles, expressiveness and richness, opening discussions on interaction design research topics the relation to familiar, contemporary interactive artifacts.
Topics covered will include programming fundamentals, essentials of interactivity, interactive representations, physical computing and basic electronics, ubiquitous computing and networking. |
Læringsaktiviteter: | 14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser Learning about the material and techniques of interaction through hands-on workshops and engagement. Numerous small interactive artifacts will be created throughout the semester, reflected upon and related to theory in periodic reports. |
