Formelle forudsætninger: | Before the course, the students should be able to:
- program in C and Python
- understand basic concepts of operating systems and distributed systems |
Læringsmål: | After completing the course, the students are expected to be able to:
- describe the architecture of IoT systems
- design, implement and evaluate networked embedded programs
- evaluate and compare a range of low-range networking technologies
- analyse the energy consumption of networked embedded programs
- analyse security issues associated with networked embedded programs
- design, implement and evaluate an IoT system
- reason about the societal impact of IoT systems |
Fagligt indhold: | The course will be composed of five parts:
(1) Architecture of IoT systems
(2) Sensing and actuation
(3) Operating system and abstraction levels in networked embedded programs
(4) Wireless networking
(5) Energy consumption of networked embedded programs |
Læringsaktiviteter: | 14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser - 2 hours a week of theory/lectures
- 2 hours a week of exercises |
Obligatoriske aktivititer: | 2 mandatory assignments. |
Eksamensform og -beskrivelse: | C: Skriftlige arbejder uden mundtlig eksamen., (7-scale, internal exam) The exam is based on questions related to (i) the material covered in the lectures, and (ii) the two mandatory assignments.
