Students are expected actively to engage themselves and contribute in-class activities, such as discussion, debate, presentation and group exercises. The class has intense production exercises in class-time, which is blending of production and theory course. The production project in-class is mandatory. There will be a mandatory, project concept presentation in-class, during the semester. The class group projects and individual projects will be shown to the public in the end of the semester. The class expects students to produce a critical, academic paper on animation media, accompanying a short animated film (max. 1min. with 1 bipedal character). The group exercise project are done by a mini-group of 3-4 students. In order to focus on animated motion, pre-production materials (design, story and storyboard) will be provided. Each day, the class will have a specific experiments in character animated motion. There will be at least one film screening with lecture for the class. In the end of the class, there will be a screening of the day's work and discussion. The class will use LUVIT for communication. Students are responsible for learning the softwares by own initiatives.
