Læringsmål:After the course the student should be able to:

Reflect on the relationship between fading enterprises boundaries, globalization, offshoring, knowledge management, as well as spatial and relational distance and apply it in the context of services creation, provision, and management.

Describe and discuss your personal role as part of modern workforce and accompanying chances and risks in a globalized network economy.

Elaborate on the importance of social skills, cultural intelligence, and mindfulness in modern IT-based working environments.

Analyze, compare and interpret critically information systems literature on services and apply theories and methods to an IT project.

Characterize the different approaches to implementing a successful IT project, to managing a successful near- or offshore IT development project, and to creating innovative services. 
Fagligt indhold:The post-industrial society was capable of creating innovative IT-driven concepts, processes and services which now require new ways of thinking about the creation, management and sourcing of knowledge-intensive enterprise services. This course will help students to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of social skills, cultural intelligence, and individual mindfulness in modern working environments such as in IT-outsourcing projects to provide knowledge-intensive enterprise services. 
Læringsaktiviteter:14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser

The course will consist of both lectures and exercise sessions. The lectures focus on theoretical concepts from the information systems domain. The concepts will help students to reflect on current topics in the service sector. In the exercise sessions, students will work in groups, discussing and analyzing course relevant topics and also relate them to their personal experiences in their modern IT-based working environments

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:B22: Mundtlig eksamen uden forberedelsestid ved eksamen., (7-scale, external exam)

Individual oral examination without preparation time (B22).

Duration of exam: 20 minutes per student incl. assessment and feedback.
