Læringsmål:After the course the students should be able to:
1. Explain and discuss theories and frameworks covered in the course
2. Apply theories and frameworks covered in class to conduct a case analysis focusing on:
a. how value is created, delivered and captured in the specific business model
b. if/how a specific business model change the organizational boundaries and/or created new partner networks
c. if/how digital technologies create or enable new possibilities for executing and governing inter-organizational transactions
d. how current and prospective developments in the digital arena may provide opportunities for new business models
3. Reflect on how current and prospective digital developments may provide opportunities for new business models 
Fagligt indhold:The aim of the course is to provide the students the skills to sense and understand how digital technologies create or enable radically new business models, new possibilities for executing and governing inter-organizational transactions, reshape organizational boundaries, and make new partner networks possible. Economic and social elements of business models will be covered. As a concept “Business model” is currently applied to companies as well as the public sector and non-profit organizations, and cases form all these areas will be included in the course. Case studies are an essential part of the course and may include business models like: Collective business models, Open business models, Cooperate-NGO collaboration, Social entrepreneurship, Government agencies and Bricks and clicks business models. 
Læringsaktiviteter:

The course will be taught as a few introduction lectures and three master class workshops (three Fridays from 8-16). In addition to the master-class workshops the students have to work with a case (a firm, a government agency or a not for profit organization) investigating course relevant topics. Supervision for the case work will be provided.

Activities
Three group assignments and an individual synopsis have to be handed in. Deadlines for the mandatory exercises and the detailed requirements for each exercise will be presented at the introduction to the course and will be posted on the course blog.

Feedback

What if the student fails to pass a mandatory activity:

Be aware: The student will receive the grade NA (not approved) at the ordinary exam, if the mandatory activities are not approved and the student will use an exam attempt. 
Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam)

The individual hand in should be 6-8 pages.

Duration of exam: 20 minutes per student incl. assessment and feedback.
