Please notice that you can’t attend the course if you are a Guest Student or if you have passed the exam of any of the following courses: "Introduction to Service Design" and "Service Design". 
Læringsmål:By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- recognize essential characteristics of services,
- identify and analyze elements of service ecosystems and their interaction with each other,
- assess social, technological and business contexts of service ecosystems
- use appropriate research methods to understand user experience at various touch points and throughout the service,
- identify service innovation opportunities, develop service concepts, blueprints, and strategies,
- communicate your analyses and new service designs articulately and persuasively in multimodal texts. 
Fagligt indhold:This course introduces you to the theories and methods of service design. Through lectures, case studies and workshops, the course presents conceptual and operational tools for analyzing or improving existing service ecosystems as well as for developing new services. You will explore topics central to service design such as technological and business contexts of services, journey mapping, user experience assessment for services, touch-point analysis and design, front- and back-stage processing, development of service blueprints, service prototyping, service co-creation, change management and service implementation.

This course is designed for IT practitioners, interaction designers and others preparing for the role of designing and executing services or products that are part of larger systems. 
Læringsaktiviteter:

The course consists of lectures, workshops, and independent group work. The lectures and workshops will take place in 2 weekends (Saturday + Sunday). You are required to work in groups outside the scheduled lecture days and meet the course instructor.
Lectures will provide you with the concepts and tools to understand the service ecosystem and identify innovation opportunities. Workshops will allow you to engage with different service design planning tools and frameworks such as journey mappings and service blueprints. Group work will enable you to collaborate with a team of peers in developing touch-points, service design prototypes and proposals as well reflecting on how you can communicate such innovations to different audiences

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:C: Skriftlige arbejder uden mundtlig eksamen., (7-scale, internal exam)

C: Submission exam., (7-scale, internal exam)
2 Final Deliverables:
A final group report describing the service innovation made by the group (max 30 pages incl everything)
A short individual essay describing og critically discussing the case the students have worked with (Max 1500 words).
