| Formelle forudsætninger: | The student should be able to perform basic image editing tasks such as cropping, resizing and optimizing images.
The ability to create a flow chart for a website.
It is expected that the student understands the file structure behind a web site
This should include knowledge of how to publish content for the Internet by uploading files to a web server.
It is not important that the student understands HTML code.
A willingness to think creatively.
It is not required that students have programming experience, but students with no programming experience should be prepared to make an extra effort.

| Læringsmål: | After the course the student should be able to :
Design interactive responsive content for the browser using various HTML-5 based tools.
Describe the process, tools and potential issues, when working with interactive design
Identify and discuss possibilities and problems that arise when communicating with
motion graphics.
Plan a web project, including communicating the ideas and structure with storyboards and flowcharts, and reflect on how to implement the proper tools for a given project. |
| Fagligt indhold: | Please note, that due to technical challenges, changes may occur before the start of the semester (week 35) – this applies to all sections of the course description.
Digital media, interactive design and motion graphics for the browser.
The course will provide an overview of the development of HTML-5, various tools and issues.
The current Adobe CC tools for interactive responsive design will be covered :
Edge Animate and other new Adobe Edge tools, Dreamweaver, Flash (now does Html-5) and more,
workflow/integration with other tools. (including open source)
Different media, including video (introduction to Adobe After Effects), and audio, will be covered.
Building blocks for game design will be introduced (Flash), as well as basics of publishing native apps.
The course will also cover different aspects of the design process, prototyping, mockups, wireframes, etc. |
| Læringsaktiviteter: | 14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser Lectures and exercises, reading, and 2 compulsory assignments.
The lecture and exercise period is mixed.

Changes may occur until the beginning of the semester
During this course, students will be required to hand in 2 mandatory assignments that need to be completed/approved before being eligible to register for the examination and e.g. being allowed to submit written work for examination. Failure to hand in these mandatory assignments on time will mean that the registration for examination is annulled.

What if the student fails to pass a mandatory activity:
Be aware: The student will receive the grade NA (not approved) at the ordinary exam, if the mandatory activities are not approved and the student will use an exam attempt. |
