NB: Even though the course description is in english, the lectures will be held in danish.

A willingness to think creatively.

Perform basic image editing tasks such as cropping, resizing and optimizing images.

The ability to create a flow chart for a website.

The student should understand how to implement a basic website. It is not important that the student understands HTML code, but is expected that he/she understands the file structure behind a web site. This should include knowledge of how to publish content for the Internet by uploading files to web server.

It is not required that students have programming experience, but students with no programming experience should be prepared to make an extra effort.

This course is first part of a specialization on the Master of Science in IT, study programme Digital Design and Communication.

Dette kursus kan vælges som obligatorisk på masteruddannelsen i Interaktionsdesign og multimedier. 
Læringsmål:After completing the course the student should:

Be able to use the tools of Adobe Flash to create an interactive multimedia production.

Understanding the ideas behind playfulness and mechanics, and the ability to apply them in a multimedia production.

Identify possibilities and problems that arise when communicating with motion graphics.

Have established a basic understanding of the fundamentals of ActionScript that will serve as a solid foundation for further learning.

Plan and implement a multimedia project, including communicating the ideas and structure with the help of storyboards and flowchart. 
Fagligt indhold:The course focuses on game design theory, and how you can work with playfulness and game mechanics in a broad context.

Learn to consider the technical and visual capabilities of multimedia and ActionScript, and uses these, among other things, to examine linear and interactive communication.

Introduction to basic programming concepts and how these can be incorporated into a multimedia production.

Introduction to animation theory, motion graphics, interaction and interface design, programmed animation.

Examines both the possibilities, potential, problems and limitations of using multimedia in communication.

Establish an understanding of the technical aspects of publishing multimedia productions 
Læringsaktiviteter:14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger og øvelser

Lectures and exercises, reading, and 2 compulsory assignments.
The lecture and exercise period is mixed.

Undervisningen vil foregå på dansk. Det er muligt at aflevere eksamensopgave på både dansk og engelsk.

NB!! Course restriction!!
Please note that this course used to be offered with the title Multimedia Production for the Internet - these two courses are identical and hereby block each other. That means that you cannot take this course, if you have already taken Multimedia Production for the Internet. 

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 7-trins-skala, Ekstern censur

During this course students will be required to hand in mandatory assignments (e.g. attendance, papers, exercises, presentations, productions), that need to be completed/approved before being eligible to register for the examination and e.g. being allowed to submit written work for examination. Failure to hand in these mandatory assignments on time will mean that the registration for examination is annulled.
