Formelle forudsætninger:The ITU Course Image Analysis or equivalent. This includes a mathematical background (such as A level high school mathematics or similar). 
Læringsmål:To introduce the participants to all phases from idea to a successful medical (image) diagnostic product. Particularly, the participants will get knowledge of topics in medical image analysis, clinical testing, and bio statistics. 
Fagligt indhold:The following phases are introduced: Invention, patenting, market analysis, financing, prototype development, clinical testing, regulatory approvals, product development, marketing, sales and distribution. The focus is on medical image analysis, quality assurance, bio statistics, clinical testing, and approval from authorities. 
Læringsaktiviteter:

Lectures and project work.

This is a course of exchange, that is offered by another University than ITU. Therefore, the course might run in another period of time, than courses at ITU.
 

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), Bestået/ikke bestået, Intern censur

Approval of exercises and report. Grading is pass/fail.
