Fagligt indhold:The course is built around MIT CISR IT Value Framework, which is a research-based approach to how IT managers can shape the future of the IT organization.

Globalization, digitization, and business growth invariably lead to complex organizational processes and systems. Consumerization and digital business, however, require simple customer interactions and digital processes. How do businesses eliminate non-value adding complexity while effectively managing com¬plexity that offers competitive advantage? How do businesses architect their systems and processes for increasingly complex digital businesses? MIT CISR has done extensive research exploring how increasingly digital organizations leverage IT and create business value.

More and more business is conducted digitally every day. In many firms, digital products, process control, CAD, transmission, social media, production (e.g., robots, media, financial products), and many other digital initiatives occur outside the IT budget and governance processes, resulting in islands of digitization. Meanwhile, the customer often expects all these digital assets to work together. And more frequently, the IT department is asked to operate these digital investments made outside the IT group.

The course is highly practice-oriented and based on case studies from industry.

Course participants are recommended to work with case companies.
