Throughout the course, student will be expected to conduct assignments and presentations, as well as participate in discussions. The course language is English and Danish The course is 15 ECTS, thus covering half of the time of a full time student. Consequently, you can expect to use 18 hours a week on the course. There will be readings for each lecture- typically 1-2 research papers or book chapters. At the end of the course there will be an oral exam based on a project report. The projects can be conducted in groups of 3-4 students. The topic of the project must be based upon a company’s practical problem which must be illuminated using the methods and techniques discussed throughout the course. Scope of the business case report: Max 30 pages. Back up information may be put in appendix; the students can not expect the examiners to have read the appendices, and the appendix will not be considered in the grading. The appendix serves as reference for readers with special interest in understanding in more detail about specific points made in the report.
- Individual oral exam based on a business case report written by a group of 3-4 people. - The business case report focus on analyzing a case from a real organization and suggestion a plan for improving the existing situation. - Students will be asked to explain and argue their business case. - Students must be able to use academic concepts discussed during the course to critically reflect upon their business case as well as the models and techniques used to create the business case. - The exam is 20 min in total, including 3-4 minutes of an individual presentation
