Fagligt indhold:This course will teach you to investigate and understand aspects of everyday life of human beings in connection with digital media design and artifacts. It may as well be work life as private life.
It will teach you as a designer how to approach analysis of the needs and opportunities of a target group.

The course will draw on a mixture of approaches, giving you background knowledge of, and hands-on experience with, a wide variety of methods for studying, involving and co-creating innovative design solutions for/with user representatives. You will also be introduced to some of the drivers behind user involvement in design, as well as with how to become an effective representative for user-centred innovation yourself.

With an open design assignment as the outset, you and a small group will analyze a certain group of people’s needs, wants and dreams in a given area.
This could be e.g. to analyze the exercise habits and needs a group of elderly citizens as part of their life situation, with the aim of designing digital artifacts or media, stimulating exercise in a positive manner to achieve better quality of life.

The other part of this project would be to plan and prepare a presentation of (a pitch for) a design process where the users are participating more actively in the relevant parts of the design process.
