Læringsmål: | - Describe fundamental elements of ubiquitous computing, discuss application domains, and reason about societal impact
- Select, combine, and apply theories and methods for data collection & analysis, idea & concept development, and presentation & evaluation
- Develop, present and analyze a speculative design concepts using appropriate materials, tools and techniques
- Critically reflect on designerly speculative practices as means of inquiry |
Fagligt indhold: | The course will be composed of 2 parts:
- Ubiquitous computing fundamentals (including history, systems & technology, context & location, privacy)
- Speculative design theory and methods (including critical design & design fiction, future scenarios & scenario building) |
Læringsaktiviteter: | Teaching consisting of lectures, exercises, and supervision.
- 2 hours a week of lectures. Theories and methods.
- 2 hours of exercises, related to the design project. |

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse: | CG: Skriftlige arbejder i grupper uden mundtlig eksamen., (7-scale, internal exam) Students work throughout the semester on a design project. Group sizes: 3-6 students.
Hand-ins: a project reports based on the design project, and media depicting the outcome of the design project (video & catalogue).
