Undervisningen foregår på dansk. The course consists of 12 weeks with lectures and exercises/case work/group presentations. Two of the group presentation days are mandatory. After the third lecture each group selects a case to work with. The case should be a concept or a new business idea which is analyzed for feasibility and worked on throughout the course, leading to a complete outline business and implementation plan, which is presented at the exam with a recommendation on how to proceed with the idea and bring it to market, covering all the learning goals listed above. Each group presents their findings at the last lecture and receives feedback. The written work consists of an 8-10 page report that presents the key points of a business plan for the selected case, highlighting the most important findings from each of the analysis’ presented in the course (see learning goals). The written work is undertaken in groups of five or six. Scope of the report: Max 10 pages. Back up information may be put in appendix; the students cannot expect the examiners to have read the appendices, and the appendix will not be considered in the grading. The appendix serves as reference for readers with special interest in understanding in more detail about specific points made in the report. This course has mandatory assignments (e.g. attendance, papers, exercises, presentations, productions), that need to be completed/approved before being eligible to register for the examination: - Active participation both as presenter and opponent in the two mandatory group presentations (5/3-2012 and 30/4-2012) . These activities are mandatory requirements for taking the exam. Exam is individual, each student starts with a 2 minute elevator speech presenting the case like it would be presented to a venture capitalist. Exam is 20 min per student including evaluation and feedback. The exam grading is based on the student’s capability to fulfill the learning goals listed above in the report, in the 2 minute elevator speech, and in the quality and preciseness of the answers obtained during the questioning by the teacher and external examiner.
