Læringsaktiviteter:

The course will be given in English.

The course consists of 12 weeks of lectures, exercises/case work/group presentations, homework and project work.

Business models of specific companies within the Game industry and the software industry will be discussed and compared for inspiration.

Each group selects a business idea/opportunity to work with, which then evolves, is modified or replaced as the analysis progresses, and feasibility and potential is tested and explored. The business opportunities should be concepts or new business ideas which can be analyzed for feasibility and potential using the theory presented throughout the course, leading to a complete outline business and implementation plan for the business opportunity finally selected.

This business plan is handed in and presented at the exam with a recommendation on how to proceed with thebusiness opportunity and bring it to market, covering all the learning goals listed above.

Each group presents their findings at the last lecture and receives feedback. Based on the feedback groups update and hand in their final business plan report

Lectures are based on dialogue; Students are expected to participate actively and discuss ideas and concepts debated during the lectures.

Information about study lines: This course is primarily targeted at Games master (=kandidat) students in their third semester and Software Development master (=kandidat) students. Bachelors may attend provided they accept this focus and are willing and able to live up to expectations of master level contribution and work.
