Formelle forudsætninger:A willingness to think creatively, and a desire to create something beyond the
limits of HTML.


Perform basic image editing tasks such as cropping, resizing and optimizing
images.


The student should understand how to implement a basic website. It is not
important that the student understand HTML code, but is expected that he/she
understand the file structure behind a web site. The ability to create a flow chart
for a website.


It is not required that students have programming experience, but the student with
no programming experience should be prepared to make an extra effort. 
Læringsmål:After completing the course the student should:


- Be able to use the tools of Macromedia Flash to create an interactive multimedia production for the Internet.


- Identify possibilities and problems that arise when communicating with motion graphics.


- Have established a basic understanding of the fundamentals of ActionScript that will serve as a solid foundation for further learning.


- Plan and implement an Internet based multimedia project, including communicating the ideas and structure with the help of storyboards and flowchart. 
Fagligt indhold:The course considers the technical and visual capabilities of multimedia and
ActionScript, and uses these, among other things, to examine linear and
interactive communication.


Introduction to animation theory, motion graphics, interaction and interface
design, programmed animation.


Examines both the possibilities and potential, and problems and limitations of
using multimedia in communication.


Establish an understanding of the technical aspects of publishing multimedia for
the Internet.


Introduction to basic programming concepts and how these can be incorporated
into a multimedia production. 
Læringsaktiviteter:

Lectures and exercises, reading, and compulsory assignments.
Lectures and exercises from 13:30 to 18:30.

Der er mulighed for øvelseshold og eksamen på både dansk og engelsk.







NB! In the introductory week, meaning from 27 August to 2 September 2004,
the course runs from 16:00 to 18:30, where the first lecture will take place. This means, that exercises are cancelled in the introductory week 

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 13-skala, Ekstern censur

Final Project: The exam for this class is the submission of a functioning Flash
production designed for the Internet. Students are also required to submit a 4-6
page report, and a storyboard or flowchart.

The final project should be turned in at the examination office the last Friday in
the semester by 12 noon. (Friday November 19, 2004)


Obligatory Assignments: The students are required to complete 2 obligatory
assignments.
