Læringsmål: | The .NET framework is being used as a foundation for mission critical e-business systems by more and more enterprises around the globe. In this course we will examine some of the ways the .NET platform may be leveraged to solve problems occurring in business solutions. We will see how e-business ideas may be transformed into working solutions solving business problems for users. Only understanding the available technology makes it possible to provide solutions to these problems, and this understanding comes naturally through a ¿hands-on¿ approach where prototypes solving several problems are developed.

Fagligt indhold: | The student will learn about programming in the C# language using the Visual Studio.NET development platform to the extent needed for the purposes of this course. The student will learn about:
¿ The .NET environment, managed code etc.
¿ XML and related application integration technologies.
¿ Database basics, SQL, ADO.NET.
¿ Middleware, message queues.
¿ Web technologies: ASP.NET, deployment, setup, scalability, security.
¿ Developing simple UIs with Winforms.

Læringsaktiviteter: | 12 forelæsninger + lejlighedsvis øvelser i forbindelse med undervisningen The examination project builds on the skills acquired in the exercises.
