Læringsmål:To learn and to apply economic theory to understand the modern information technology based economy. To understand how changes in technology impact firm strategy and performance. 
Fagligt indhold:Key Concepts

The principles of Micro-economics. The economic properties of information as a good. An introduction to the transaction cost theory Network externalities and network effects The boundaries of the firm, firm strategy, and regulation policy

Course Methodology

The course will essentially be a mixture of economic theory that will be accompanied by actual inside industry cases.

The book \"Information Rules\" by Shapiro and Varian shall serve a general guidline and frame for the course Additionally the students will be supplied with background articles for deeper understanding of the courses key economic concepts.

As exam requirements the student will be asked to write an individual mini project that will be graded after an oral exam.
