|Læringsmål:||After the course, the student should be able (to some extent) to:
- propose and evaluate research questions;
- independently research for literature and other research resources;
- make a research plan for his/her MSc thesis;
- perform the basics of independent research.
Moreover, after the course, the student should be in condition to write her/his thesis
|Fagligt indhold:||The course will help you on the following points:
i) how to choose the right topic for your thesis
ii) how to find the right supervisor
iii) how to develop and write a MSc thesis
iv) get started with preliminary MSc thesis work
The course is divided into two parts:
Part 1. During the first part of the course, you will be attending classes where you will learn what is an MSc thesis and how to write one.
Part 2. The second part of the course starts when you find a thesis topic and a supervisor (see deadlines below). You will start working on your thesis during this part and aim at achieving preliminary results by the end of the course.
|Obligatoriske aktivititer:||1: attendance to 80% of the classes
2: you must present a thesis proposal to the class 1½ month into the course. See the exact date on LearnIT.
Be aware: The student will receive the grade NA (not approved) at the ordinary exam, if the mandatory activities are not approved and the student will use an exam attempt
|Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:||D2G Aflevering med mundtlig eksamen der supplerer projekt. Delt ansvar for projekt., (7-scale, internal exam)|
Preliminary Thesis Report: A report on your thesis preliminary work (carried out with your supervisor) to be handed-in in LearnIT.
Duration of oral examination: 20 minutes.
