Formelle forudsætninger:Requires knowledge of Java corresponding to the
ITU course: Introduction to Programming - Concepts
and Tools, or equivalent. This includes a mathematical background (such as A level high school mathematics or similar). 
Læringsmål:Having completed this course the student is able to design AI and rule-based programs for applications in dialogue generation, guidance of non-deterministic interactive 3D narrative and automatic cinematography. 
Fagligt indhold:- Principles of AI

- Dialogue generation

- Rule-based programming

- Theory and practice of artificial dramatic characters

- Theory of non-deterministic narrative guidance

- Theory of automatic cinematography.

NB! In the introductory week, meaning from 27 August to 2 September 2004 the course will run as usual with lectures from 17:00 to 19:00



 

Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 13-skala, Ekstern censur

A set of questions will be given out shortly after
the last lecture. Students will scheduled for a
specific period of 20-30 minutes. Students will
arrive a half hour before the exam, select a question or
questions from the full set and prepare the question(s)
using notes and resources. Then the student will be
examined on the question(s) with possible additional
queries about related material from the curriculum.
A white board and/or blackboard will be available.
