Formelle forudsætninger:This course is the second part of the specialization in Mobile Communication.
In order to participate in this course you must have attended the first part of the specialization in Mobile Communication: the course 'Technical Issues and Methods for Study'. 
Læringsmål:After the course students should be able to:
• describe the most important regulatory issues of mobile communication
• describe the functioning of the commercial dimensions of mobile communication and mobile media
• identify and analyse social consequences of mobile communication
• identify and analyse important issues in the design of mobile media and mobile services
• apply theory about mobile communication to practical design of mobile media and mobile services
• critically reflect on their own work with mobile design 
Fagligt indhold:The mobile communication specialization is designed to give students insight into the regulatory, business and social context dimensions of mobile communication, and how these dimensions influence the design of mobile media and mobile services. The increasing popularity and ever developing technological capabilities of mobile devices enable a wide range of new forms of media products and services. The course investigates the possibilities and constraints for this ongoing development, and challenges students to explore the space of possibilities for new mobile media and services. 
Læringsaktiviteter:14 ugers undervisning bestående af forelæsninger, øvelser og vejledning

The class will extend for 14 weeks including 12 lectures, 11 exercise sections and 2 weeks of supervision. 

Obligatoriske aktivititer:Two group projects to be done during the semester. Each project includes a written report and an oral presentation for the rest of the class. Both projects must be passed in order to do the final exam project. 
Eksamensform og -beskrivelse:X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 7-trins-skala, Ekstern prøve

After the two group projects, the students may start work on their individual exam projects. Each student decides her own topic, typically to further explore an issue that has come up during the group projects. The projects should include a practical design process, leading to a prototype or sketch of a design solution. The final submission consists of a written report which includes documentation of the prototype/sketch.
