Formelle forudsætninger:The workshop will be of interest for students on the second and third semester within the MTG line, both in the design and technology lines.

This is a workshop that covers the advanced needs of those students that, having taken the introductory courses of the line, would like to deepen their knowledge of computer games technology and on game prototyping and development techniques.

This workshop will act as an advanced game course, allowing students to deepen their knowlege of game technology and game design techniques and methods as are already taught in MTG courses..

It complements the work in the courses of

  • Game Programming, by introducing the application of Python to a 3D engine;
  • Game Development, as it will also provide specific knowledge about scripting in a 3D engine;
  • Introduction to Game Design, as it provides the tools for prototyping in 3D, as opposed to the 2D approach of that course.

Læringsmål:The goal of the workshop is to provide students with an advanced set of tools that will allow them to prototype their game ideas within a 3D engine, using a programming language that is well-known and supported by the game programming course.
