Læringsmål: Micro economics of information and economics of organization form the core of this course. The main objective of the course is to provide knowledge and understanding to students on how economics have been applied to information issues. Empirical studies of information management and information efficiency will be presented along with case studies of particular companies and industries.  
Fagligt indhold: The course will start by introducing some basic micro economic theories that are prominent in terms of information management and information efficiency. Then selected issues with wide impact on individuals, firms and markets will be presented. Indicative examples include electronic markets, electronic auctions, information goods and pricing, firm as a nexus of contracts, business networks, virtual communities and open source.  
Læringsaktiviteter:

The course will be conducted in sessions of three time-slots. Following the introduction, each session will include lectures presenting specific theoretical issues, empirical studies to further the understanding of the theory and a student presentation. Students are expected to present an article and to act as opponents to the others? presentations.
