| Formelle forudsætninger: | The course will be held entirely in English. Students should therefore be able to read and write in English. |
| Læringsmål: | The students should be able to understand the basic principles of writing objectoriented programs. Furthermore, the students should be able to write small programs using the Java programming language. |
| Fagligt indhold: | The students will learn how to solve simple programming problems using the object oriented programming concept. For this purpose the course will introduce subjects such as simple data types, simple data structures, control structures, methods, classes, objects and inheritance. The students will also learn how to use some of the Java class libraries.
The students will be introduced to some more advanced Java techniques as well such as graphical programming and event driven programming.

| Eksamensform og -beskrivelse: | X. experimental examination form (7-scale; external exam), 13-skala, Intern censur 4 hours written open book exam.
In order to attend the 4 hour written exam, you must pass at least 8 out of the 10 homework assignments which will be given through the course.
